My journey to a career as a celebrant started with a favor for a friend.

A few years ago, a really good friend of mine was getting married and asked me to write the script for the traditions she had decided to use. She was happy with what I produced and her feedback ignited a spark that led me to investigate Celebrancy as a vocation. I chose the Celebrant Foundation and Institute (CF&I) for my training. There, I learned the art of ceremony creation and the importance of rituals and symbolism. Through CF&I I became a Life-Cycle Celebrant, with certifications in both Weddings and Funerals.

I believe that each ceremony is a momentous milestone in someone's life, and it deserves to be celebrated and honored in a way that truly reflects who they are. You, as my client, set the tone and mood for your ceremony. As a celebrant, I utilize skills I have honed in careers in journalism and social work, such as active listening, researching, writing, storytelling, and meeting clients where they are to collaborate with you to tell your story, or that of your loved one, with dignity and authenticity.

I will work with you to ensure that every detail of the ceremony is personalized and reflects your story, values, and beliefs. My personalized approach, coupled with my training in ceremony creation, allows me to create a ceremony that is both meaningful and memorable.

My practice is inclusive of all identities, backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. I believe everyone deserves to have their story told in a way that is completely true to who they are.
